Bottom line:
The Maxi-Cosi Titan Pro is a convertible front-facing harness seat from approx 6mo – 4yr and a booster seat from approx 4yr – 8 yr.
It has Maxi-Cosi’s latest safety features, notably both G-Cell and Air Protect, and premium ‘Cool baby’ wicking fabric. But it is quite large at 48cm wide, which may be an issue in smaller cars.
While it does provide a restraint solution up to 8 years, it only allows harnessing until 4 years, unlike the new generation of Type G harnessed seats. If you are going to buy a premium car seat up to 8 years for safety reasons then it seems slightly counter to the argument to get the Titan Pro instead of a harnessed seat.
But with street prices around low $300s it might be a suitable option if you want to save a few dollars over a Type G harnessed car seat.
Who this is for:
Parents looking for a safety-oriented convertible booster seat instead of a harnessed car seat.
