Pros and cons

Pros

+ Side wings impact protection
+ Really low price

Cons

– Low height markers
– Rearward for only 12 months

Bottom line:

The Babylove Vantage II is another of Britax’s value brands, looking to offer a basic convertible car seat at a very low price point.

For $119 you get a convertible car seat rearward facing until 12 months, and nominally usable in forward facing until approx. 4 years. Except that the upper height marker, which means stop using the seat is one of the lowest we’ve seen at 41.5cm. You won’t be getting that much use out of it unless your child is well on the smaller side. A side benefit is that it is really light but even so it doesn’t have such a small footprint at 57cm deep in rearward facing mode.

Yes, it works as a seat but spending a few extra dollars will mean you can get a car seat that gives you much greater longevity and features.

Who this is for:

Parents looking for a really cheap convertible car seat and are ok with the low height markers.
