Pros and cons

Pros

+ Active Head Restraint side impact protection
+ Narrow enough to allow 3-wide in the rear
+ Short length gives front passengers greater space
+ Extended rearward facing to 2-3 years
+ ISOFIX

Cons

– Basic fabric
– Can be difficult to tighten the straps

Bottom line:

The Britax Brava is a Baby Bunting only special model that marries a basic Britax seat with the valuable ISOFIX connection tethers. While both seat belt and ISOFIX are equally secure when anchored properly, ISOFIX arguably is much simpler to connect. A very compact footprint makes this suitable for the smallest cars including for 3-wide in the rear. Like with most of the Britax range, extended rearward facing is also possible. What you give up compared to more expensive models in the Britax range is in side protection and in the fabric quality – none of the special Thermo5 fabric is included. But at $499 and occasionally on deep discount, ISOFIX may just be the game changer.

Who this is for:

Parents who need a narrow convertible car seat to fit 3 in the rear with ISOFIX.
