Pros and cons
Pros
+ Very narrow seat, good for installing three in the rear
+ Air Cocoon Technology side impact protection
+ Cheaper than functionally identical Infasecure Emerge
Cons
– Still has same design flaws as Infasecure Emerge
– It’s big and heavy
Bottom line:
The Infasecure Pulsar is a lower spec version of the original Infasecure harnessed car seat, the Emerge. Based on the same shell, the Pulsar is functionally the same but has basic black fabric and a lower price point.
But like the Emerge, there are still the same fundamental flaws with the Pulsar. Gradual ‘unlimited’ recline positioning still does not recline enough, potentially causing head flop in sleeping children. The harness adjusts in large increments, making it difficult to fit well, and has been known to be difficult to tighten.
If you are really interested in an Infasecure harnessed car seat and don’t care about the fabric selection, this one might be the right one for you, but there are other options out there that may be better suited.
Who this is for:
Parents looking specifically for an Infasecure brand forward facing harnessed car seat and don’t mind black fabric.
