Pros and cons

Pros

+ Air Cocoon Technology side impact protection
+ Secur-air side head impact protection
+ Premium fabrics
+ Helpful additional convenience features, such as cup holders

Cons

– Same basic shell as Infasecure Emerge with attendant flaws
– It’s big and heavy

Bottom line:

The Infasecure Opus Signature is a mildly upgraded version of the Infasecure Emerge exclusive to Baby Bunting. Based on the same shell, the Opus Signature has premium Bamboo Fabric, Air Cocoon Technology and Secur-air protection, and a number of handy additional convenience features. Apart from colours, it is otherwise identical to the Accomplish Premium.

Given it is based on the same shell as the Emerge, the gradual ‘unlimited’ recline positioning still does not recline enough, potentially causing head flop in sleeping children. The harness only adjusts in large increments, making it difficult to fit well, and has also been known to be difficult to tighten. An included infant insert does help with properly seating younger infants (6-12 months).

While the convenience features and premium fabrics do put the Opus Signature a notch above the Emerge, the functional issues still remain and at the price point there are plenty of other options available, such as the Britax Maxi Guard PRO.

Who this is for:

Parents looking for a premium fabric Infasecure brand forward facing harnessed car seat.
