Pros and cons

Pros

+ Light weight
+ Narrow
+ Compatible with Mountain Buggy strollers
+ Cheap for an ISOFIX baby capsule

Cons

– Very long, front passenger seat may need to be pushed well forward
– Only rated to 6 months
– Sun canopy not very large

Bottom line:

The Mountain Buggy Protect Capsule is a midrange ISOFIX enabled capsule. Like the Phil&Teds Alpha to which it is equivalent, it is a 0-6 month lightweight baby capsule – Mountain Buggy and Phil&Teds are from the same company. At only 3.8kg it is one of the lightest available, which will save your back when you are lugging the capsule around in and out of the car while bub is asleep in it. It is narrow but also very long, so take this into consideration when fitting into your car.

While it is classified as a 0-6month capsule, some parents have reported that it is still quite small and your baby may outgrow the capsule well before they reach 6 months of age, making it of questionable value if this happens to you. It is compatible with Mountain Buggy prams such as the nano and the mini which will make travelling from car to stroller that little bit easier.

Who this is for:

Parents looking for a lower priced ISOFIX baby capsule (but beware the small size and long length)
